First iteration of modular design and DaCe integration coming in June + CVMFS update
Published: 24 May 2025
We have recently started working on the first iteration of the modular design of Adaptyst and DaCe integration, as touched upon in our roadmap and the news from 14/03/2025. If there are no unexpected serious technical obstacles, it will become available for you to test by 23 June 2025.
The initial version of the modular design is planned to feature support for CPUs as it is now (i.e. profiling based on “perf” and roofline-based profiling) along with profiling support for GPUs and bare-metal software on CPUs (e.g. the one that can be run on AMD/Xilinx UltraScale+ SoC’s). Stay tuned! More advanced features such as auto-compilation for heterogeneous platforms and automatic system construction form part of long-term R&D of Adaptyst and thus are anticipated in the next few years.
When it comes to the CVMFS LCG release of Adaptyst, we cannot officially announce it yet because while it is already available as a nightly version, we have run into some unexpected issues which are currently being investigated by the LCG team. We’re sorry about it and we’ll keep you posted about the developments there.
Last but not least, please accept our apologies for not publishing any news last week.
