Preliminary NVIDIA GPU support will be available by 23 June

The first iteration of the modular design and DaCe integration will feature a new module inspecting NVIDIA GPU activity of codes. Therefore, by 23 June, you will be able to start using Adaptyst for analysing performance of your workflows running on NVIDIA GPUs.

Under the hood, the module will use:

• NVIDIA Nsight Compute to attach profiling to an analysed program,
• the NVIDIA NvRules API to process the resulting profiling information into a format understandable by Adaptyst and Adaptyst Analyser.

At first, Adaptyst will provide GPU performance information relevant to end users in high energy physics research, but future iterations are likely to take other needs into account as well. The support for alternative GPUs such as the ones from AMD will be added in the future.
