Originally from Poland, Maks is a junior performance research engineer working at CERN since 2023. He is the initiator, maintainer, and main developer of the Adaptyst suite. His interests involve everything at the software-hardware boundary in computer science such as compilers, computer architecture, performance analysis, FPGAs etc., especially in the context of applications to physics and space. He graduated with an integrated Master’s degree in computing from Imperial College London in 2022.

Maks will start PhD studies in computer science at ETH Zürich and CERN in April 2026 under the supervision of Prof. Zhendong Su and Dr Stefan Roiser, researching unified modular performance analysis and automated computer system design in Adaptyst. He will stay involved in the project as the maintainer and main developer.
